Korea has an excellent railway network that offers an efficient and affordable means of travel throughout the peninsula. Busan Station, located in downtown Busan (subway stop#13) is the principal station of the southeastern region in Korea and the starting point of the Gyeongbu Railroad, Donghae Railroad and Kyung-jun Railroad which link with metropolitan cities like Seoul, Daegu, and Daejon.

Gyeongbu national railroad links Seoul via Daegu, Gumi, Daejun, Chonan and Suwon. There are three classes of service: Saemaeul, Mookungwha, and Tongilho. Saemaeul trains are express trains that make fewer stops. Moogungwha and Tongilho trains run along the Kyungjon line via Samrangjin, Masan and Mokpo. Mookungwha train also run along the Donghae line via Ulsan, Kyungju, Pohang, Gangnung and Seoul.

Ticket purchasing
You can buy tickets at any station or tourist agency around the country. You can also purchase tickets using a credit card at the self ticket machines at the train station.
