In major apartment complexes, utility bills are often compiled
into one monthly bill which can be paid at a bank or direct withdrawal
payment can be arranged. With smaller housing units, bills are usually
sent separately and can be paid with the same methods. Details about various
utilities are below:
Electricty
Connection
and Disconnection

Public
utility services provide services like electricity and tap water
to dwellings. The service is supplied on a continuous basis
once the service is first started, exact for special cases. |
Rate

Monthly
use is calculated from the regular checking day of the prior
month to the same day of the current month. Electricity charges
are composed of a basic rate and usage rate. In Korea, the electricity
bill is paid together with the TV monitor license rate. |
Payment

Pay at
banks or post offices (except for Korea Bank and foreign banks)
Pay from your bank deposit account (only with the approval of
the guest). |

Gas
Application

For connection
of gas, contact the nearest regional office or the head
office. The person in charge will go to your place. After checking
the gas appliances and the plumbing situation, they will begin
to supply gas. You should pay a certain amount of charge. |
Application
for disconnection

If you
want to temporarily stop the gas service due to your long absence,
moving etc. contact the regional office or head office and they
will stop supplying gas temporarily. |
Rate
Calculation

The rate
is calculated by checking the amount used for the month on a
regular checking day. Gas charges are composed of a basic rate
and extra rate, together with the accounting cost(Basic amount
of use is 4§©s per month and even if the used amount
is below this level per month, you should pay the basic charge
applicable for usage |

Regulations for moving

When
moving out, you should contact regional service office or head
office in advance for safety guidelines. When moving in, you
should contract the regional service office or head office to

- Subscription fee : W250,000 (W242,000 or which will be
returned when service is terminated)
- License fee should be refunded within 2 months when you

- Telephone charges
- Due day of the telephone charges in Busan is the 25th of
every month.
- The charge includes usage fee from 11th of the month before
to 10th of the last month.
- The monthly telephone bill consists of the basic charge,
the call charge, the telegram charge and additional usage
fee.

- Domestic calls
- Domestic calls cost W50 for every 3 minutes
- Discounts rates are up to 30% from 21:00 through 08:00 and
