Ah, Haeundae Beach - kids splashing, old men playing baduk,  families picnicking, and lovers strolling hand in hand -  there's no better place in Pusan for hanging out or taking photos. Beach attire in Korea is still surprisingly excessive (by Western standards, that is) - must reduce the risk of sunburn though and one never has to worry about overdressing for the beach. It's hard for any kid to stay upset at the beach...  or for any photographer to resist their playful charm. Even away from the contest, there were lots of beachgoers digging and 'bonding' with the sand      A sunhat vendor distracted by  'beach scenery'
