From the editor,s desk
Gentle Reader:
My only Christmas here, I made a good choice, I went to Pomosa. I had hoped to develop an article concerning what Koreans do for Christmas, as well as a list of recommendations for what we ÀÇ ±Ø's could do, but due to factors out of my control, it didn't turn out like I wanted. So, you're on your own.
You know I'm going to be gone for a while, so help Patrick and Sheila out as much as you can while they hold down the fort. No matter how much experience you have doing something like this, things are never the same, and something is always surprising. And, of course, there is the Korea factor -- trying to accomplish anything in an foreign language and culture.
Have a Merry Christmas, Your loving editor,
Jon

THE PAPER JOBS:
Typing: have access to Dream Internet Café or an e-mail account.
Editing: have access to e-mail, and have decent English language skills.
Cut & Paste: be available on Sunday, and be able to cut and/or draw a straight line, and be able to use glue neatly!!!
Distribution: have a burning desire to visit cool places, and can lift bundles of newspaper.
Ad Asst: visit advertisiers, collect money, and have some creativity for making ads, and hopefully some computer skills, too.
A lot of the people who originated and continued the paper are moving on. To help out does not take a lot of effort, especially if there are a lot of people helping.
If you think you want to write an article, but are fresh out of ideas, consider the following:
* Review a Lotte Giants game, or a KBL game.
* Write a "What I did for the Summer" piece.
* Tell me what your favourite toilet (that isn't your own) is in Pusan and why (a potential composite piece).
* Review the attractions of your neighborhood.
* Tell us about your expectations of coming to Korea, and if they're being met.
* Explain the difference between Korean and Western age.
It's fun! It's wacky! It's unpredictable!
What the hell is going on with
the mailing?
1. Somebody's gotta step forward &
organize it. You've seen the job
I've done.
2. We will mail to those outside of,
Pusan and with a good sob story.
Remember mail is expensive
Mailing List Latest:
Please send us a self addressed stamped envelope if you want the paper mailed to you. The complexity of the list dictates this regretful policy.
