"The TESOL ASSOCIATION, Revisited"
By Ty Khim

(ed’s note: During the last minute flurry that is the cut & paste meeting, Ty’s article was misplaced. He He. It happen’s. Sorry Ty, I hope you understand. This is my reconstruction of his original article.)

It seems I ruffled some feathers when I announced the formation of the TESOL Assoc., so I want to clarify some matters.

First, I think the selection of the TESOL Assoc. was a sound one, and since no organization has any kind of legal claim to the name, we will retain it. But, I do not wish to compete with any other group sharing this name, only to offer other services.

Second, the placement of the meeting on the last Saturday of the month was due to scheduling difficulties and not meant as a challenge to any group. The next meeting will be the third Saturday of November, the 15th at 3:00pm at ICC Institute in Yonsan-dong (subway stop #23, exit #7).

The Association offers expats, Koreans, and teachers a chance to attend teaching seminars, network, form tour & travel groups, and discussion groups. A job referral service is offered that is simply a listing of jobs without the presence of a referral agency.

If you have any other questions about the Association please call me at 868-5556, or 012) 554-0690. Please, attend the next meeting
