Paradise
Hotel Casino Type
of Establishment: Casino Location: Down
on Haeundae beach, right behind the Marriott where "Murphy's" is. It's
on the second floor of the building of the Paradise Hotel that is closest to the
beach. Review: Potentially a lot of fun if you've
got some money to burn. Unfortunately, there is NO music whatsoever, and the mood
is very somber. Like all casinos, drinks here are "free", however you
are expected to gamble, and if you're like me, the drinks will end up costing
you at the tables--or maybe you'll get lucky. The Paradise
Casino has 5 ways to lose the farm: Slots (500W), video poker(500W), blackjack
(10,000-100,000 minimum), baccarat, and 2 roulette tables (2,000W minimum). Over
by the bar there are a few tables to chill out at for a bit if you want to take
a break. There is cheap food at the bar: sandwiches, fried rice, and the like.
The clientele seems to be mostly Japanese tourists and some
westerners (Koreans are denied entry). If you roll in from the beach, change out
of your shorts and t-shirt beforehand--there is a dress code--nothing flashy,
just don't look like you washed in on the tide. No cameras allowed...not that
anybody here has anything to be ashamed of... |
