Chagalchi  is the largest and most famous seafood market in Korea.  Since the 1950's, it has been one of Pusan's greatest prides and regarded as the best place to buy fresh fish of all types.  As famous as the seafood itself, are the Chagalchi Adjumae (aunts) who use their unique Pusan charm and skill to bargain with customers while slicing, dicing, and skinning all manner of sea critter.  Every October, Chagalchi hosts a 'Fish Festival'  that includes an eel relay race and Cooking Contest for Foreigners.   The market is located along the South Port of Nampo-dong, and to appreciate all the sites, sounds, and smells of Chagalchi in person, you can get there by buses 11, 13, 15, 30, 35, 55, 56, 58, 58-1, 58-2, 70, 71, 86, 87, 103, 113, 126, 126-1, 134, 302, 305, 306, 310, and 2001 or you can take the subway to the Chagalchi Stop (#24)
