Busan Foreign School, an international school in the heart of Haeundae, is honored to announce that it will be hosting an English essay contest for the students of the Busan community. This contest is open to all students, Koreans and foreigners, ages 14 to 18 years old.

Who: Students, Korean or Foreign, aged 14 to 18 years old.
 
When: Saturday February 7, 2009
 
Where: Busan Foreign School

Why: Fundraising for a Habitat for Humanity trip, to build homes in an impoverished community in Thailand. All money raised from the contest goes directly towards the costs of the trip.
 
Entrance Fee: 40, 000 won

Two Cash Prizes:
1st Prize: 500, 000 won cash and a Certificate of Achievement for Korean Citizen
1st Prize: 500, 000 won cash and a Certificate of Achievement for Foreigner

Contest requirements: 
·         Students must be aged from 14 to 18 years old
·         No dictionaries will be allowed
·         The specific topic for the essay will only be given on the day
·         The student has exactly one hour to write the essay.
·         The essay, once turned in, becomes the property of BFS and will not be returned.
·         The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
·         Students must provide a valid ID and registration form on the day of the contest.
