Socrates Cafe Discussion Group

A Socrates Cafe is a gahering of people who take seriously the proposition that, "The unexamined life is not worth living." What we do is gather, propose several questions which we have been thinking about in our personal lives, then, as a group, we vote on which question we want to discuss. It is not an academic gathering, but rather it is a bunch of regular people who bring their personal experiences and open minds to group discussion. The people are open, accepting and kind.

In the past, we have looked at such questions as, "What is an individual?", "What do we owe our parents?", or "Is morality man-made?"

We meet Sundays, from 12-2:00.
Go to Exit 4 in Seomyon. Before climbing the stairs, look at the map for the Migliore (mil-i-o-ray). Then, go to the Migliore and locate the light green building next door. There is an alley across the street. You'll notice the alley has a Show phone shop on the corner. Go down this alley and look for the shop with Hindu statues inside. We meet upstairs. (For a pass into the reading room, you'll need to pay W5,000 for a month. You can then use the reading room anytime you want and serve yourself free tea.)
Go to our Socrates Cafe Facebook page for more information. There is a map in the upper right hand corner of the page.  http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=4766189585 There is also more information in the forum for the "Socrates Cafe."
