Very friendly, but I suspect over-servicing. They have a special foreigner reception area on the 6th floor, with a reception nurse, Kim Dong-Hee, who is trying hard to learn English. It is a big hospital with specialists for most problems, including dentistry.

Good Sam sun Hospital MAP Sassang , next to Jurye Lucky Apt. Nangjeong Subway Station Phone 332-0900 From Rocky: Samsun hospital impressed me. It looks modern, it is CLEAN, the receptionists speak English, as well as the doctors and X-ray personnel and pay clerks, and it is small enough that it is easy to find your way around. It is also easy to find. Take the subway to Naengjeong subway station (number 224). Walk out exit number 5, and you will see the Samsun Hospital building not far down the street.

from Thor May Bonsaeng Hospital has at least two branches: one at Allak Rotary near Dongnae, and one about a block back from Pusanjin subway, towards Somyeon. These are workaday hospitals, slightly scruffy, always crowded, and English speakers are hard to find, especially amongst reception staff. However, they claim to be "the cheapest". I can recommend the dentist at the Dongnae branch. Unlike the rest of the hospital, he was  desperate for patients. A middle aged man, ex-army dentist, with pretty good English, he seems to know his trade well... and he charged a LOT less than PNU. 
Here is a sample medical charge: anyone who plans on tripping down some steps and tearing the meniscus (cartilage) in their knee, like I did, is looking at w350,000 for an MRI scan at Bonsaeng (Pusanjin branch). To cheer me up, they confided that the charge at PNU hospital is w470,000 (MRIs are not covered by Korea's pathetic medical insurance system). If surgery is necessary, the damage is around a further 1,000,000 won.

Dr Jade Kim was trained in the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia, and is fluent in both Korean and English. They have three physiotherapists, resident nurses and a beautician on site as well. To get to us, take a cab from Nampo-Dong or Busan University Hospital (it will cost you about 3000won).
