South Korea's biggest holiday of the year runs Thursday, September 24 through Sunday, September 27, 2026, giving most workers a four day break built around Chuseok (추석), the harvest festival that falls on the Friday full moon, September 25. Because the official holiday sits Thursday through Saturday rather than overlapping a Sunday, no substitute Monday gets added this year under Korea's make up holiday rule, which only applies to Chuseok and Seollal when they land on a Sunday.
